Cars are usually at the bottom of the list of what needs to be organized, they’re not really a priority and often forgotten about. They also tend to be the messiest! We spend a lot of our times in our cars, so why not make sure it stays clean and organized.
I recently got a new car, the excitement of having new car is really what inspired this post. Like anything new you get, you spend the first few days or weeks making sure it stays sparkly, clean and looking new. But then you get over it and it becomes just your car. You dread taking it to the car wash, you start leaving things in there, something falls and ends up living the rest of it’s life under your car seat and the list goes on.
Here is the thing, it doesn’t have to be that way!
I love my new car so much that I found myself deep into making a list of things I need to have to keep it organized but also all the things I need to always have in the car. It’s such a good list I had to share it with you all!

TRUNK ORGANIZER
But Alia! wouldn’t this just take up space in the trunk? Quite the opposite actually. Everything that lives in your trunk will live in this organizer, it will be contained and free up space for when you need to add anything else to the trunk. Also this is great for trips, beach days, camping, the park with the kids. you just pack up everything you need in it and grab it with you.
2. BACKSEAT ORGANIZER
Moms this one is for you, You need this. Gone are the days of hauling 50 bags filled with books, toys, snacks and all the things to keep your kids entertained during a car ride. All you need is to fill this with all the above and not only does it save you all the hassle but it also keeps your backseat organized and your kids feel like they have their own space!
3. BACKSEAT ORGANIZER (2)
If the first backseat option wasn’t the right option for you, this might be it. I like that this holds more things and it’s more accessible for younger kids, with everything at their fingertips they will love going on car rides.
4. CAR SEAT HOOKS
I love these hooks, they are a great way to free up space with shopping or groceries and even when you have other people riding with you.
5. MINI HANGING TRASH CAN
How cute is this mini trash can!! I am obsessed, I love this trash can in particular because it’s not bulky and doesn’t make your car look decluttered like other ones do. It’s small, but mighty, water proof and comes with it’s own trash bags!! You can hang it on the side of the door or on the back of the seats.
6. PORTABLE HAND VACCUM
This is one of my favorite things to have in a car, it’s so efficient, saves you from going to too many detailed car washes, and it’s wonderful if you have kids. It’s compact, doesn’t take up space, cute and you can charge it using USB cord so you don’t ever need to take it out of the car. It’s a little on the pricey side but it’s totally worth it.
7. PORTABLE HAND VACCUM (2)
This is just as great as the above vacuum but a little more affordable. Also very compact and uses USB cord to charge.
8. CAR DIFFUSER
I love a good car smell, if I can bottle up the “ new” car smell and keep it forever I would, unfortunately I can’t so I have to settle for second best, car diffusers.
I love this one because it’s small, fits on top of your dashboard or in you cup holder and it doesn’t even have to be on for that long because it’s that powerful.
You have the option to choose from how strong and misty you want it to be. I love that it already comes with three different oils and it uses a USB cord to charge.
9. CAR COASTERS
Coasters are big thing in this household, so of course I had to buy these for my car when I found them. I hate spilling coffee or any drink really in the cupholder and having it all get so sticky, so these are definitely life savers
10. REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE CARD HOLDER
I don’t know about you, but I hate opening the glove box and having to skim through a bunch of papers. I love this thing because it keeps the important papers contained and handy for whenever you need them.
11. BLANKET
Always have an extra blanket in your trunk, for those impromptu picnics and beach days.
12. BEACH TOWEL
Same with the blanket, always have an extra beach towel in your trunk. You never know when you’ll need it.
13. WHITE TEE
Keep a white tee in the trunk for any wardrobe emergencies. A white tee is so easy to throw over anything and can be easily dressed up or down.
14. JACKET
Keep a jacket in your trunk for those unexpected chilly nights. It doesn’t matter what type of jacket it is as long as you just have one in there.
15. FLATS
Keep a pair of flats in your trunk at all times, again you never know when you’ll need them.
16. HEELS
Just like the flats, you should keep a pair of heels in your trunk, doesn’t matter what type of heel as long as you have one for when you need to dress up an outfit last minute!
17. SUNGLASSES
I always keep an extra pair of Sunglasses in the car in case I leave in a rush and forget to grab some.
18. MASKS
It’s always a good idea to leave a couple extra masks in your car incase you need them.
19. HAND SANITIZER
It goes without saying, but always keep hand sanitizer in your car. I never not have one on me or in my car.
20. MINI EMERGENCY KIT
These mini emergency kits are my favorite. I’ve had one in every single car I’ve had. They’re small but come packed with such good things, needle and thread, dental floss, bandaid, Advil, nail polish remover, lip balm, stain remover, mouth wash, hair spray, deodorant, boob tape. Trust me, you need one!
21. CAR EMERGENCY KIT
Do I know all the things that come in this kit? No. Do I know how to use all of them? No, but some yes.
But will I be prepared if anything happens? Hell yeah!
I do wish it wasn’t SO pink, but it’s ok, I can see pass the color. I just love how this kit has all the things I wouldn’t know to have let alone know where to buy.
